O pesquisador acadêmico brasileiro enfrenta uma rotina repleta de desafios como, por exemplo, manter o controle do pipeline de artigos, participar das reuniões de projetos, ministrar aulas, controlar os prazos das conferências, cobrar pendências dos colegas, revisar artigos para revistas, preparar editais de bolsa, orientar alunos, dentre outras atividades. Em meio a tantas responsabilidades, raramente há tempo para refletir sobre o propósito do que se faz e do importante papel enquanto pesquisador acadêmico.
